Let me be constructive, some suggestions: Sha Rock; MC Lyte; Salt n Pepa; Monie Love. That’s just the 1980s. When it comes to the ’90s there are so many that I can’t list them all, nor hyperlink the first that come to mind: Bahamadia, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown Missy Elliott, Latifah, Jean Grae, Trina, Rah Digga, Left Eye … Lauryn Hill.

In short, stop rewriting history and writing women out. No ‘it was unconscious’ excuses: just come better.
